Insights Analyst (Strategy & Analytics)

Tasks in the role

  • Working with analytical tasks for Product, Business, Sales, Marketing, and other teams, including (but not limited to) basic statistical analysis, analytical dashboard creation and optimization, and preparing data for further analysis and research

  • Generating data insights and business recommendations based on the completed tasks

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and modeling to develop predictive insights and identify opportunities for revenue growth

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business, market trends, and emerging technologies related to analytics and business intelligence

  • Participate in the design and implementation of data architecture and data governance policies to ensure data accuracy and completeness

  • Working on data standardization and documentation

  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver results and recommendations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and act as a strategic partner to drive business growth

  • Collaborate with other Analytics teams to develop and maintain data warehousing and analytics infrastructure

  • Manage and mentor junior analytics team members

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Analytics, Statistics, or Computer Science. Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex data sets
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
  • Knowledge of Python or R is a must
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with predictive modeling and statistical analysis techniques

  • You have experience in product analytics
  • Excellent knowledge of advertising platforms
  • Experience working in a team of data developers or data analysts
  • Strong knowledge of key product and business metrics of SaaS companies
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics and statistics;
  • Excellent proficiency in SQL;
  • Excellent proficiency in Python or R.
  • English language proficiency at the Upper Intermediate level or higher.
  • Experience working in a SaaS company.

A bit about the team

You can get to know the team better at one of the interviews, but some brief information about future colleagues will be useful now.

The tasks that need to be addressed are divided into two directions: research and reporting.

Examples of tasks in the research direction:

  • Segmenting users for onboarding personalization;
  • Assisting the development team in designing and evaluating A/B tests;
  • Evaluating the impact of a specific factor on user behaviour or business metrics;
  • Supporting and improving ML prediction models;
  • Developing prediction models for upselling.

Examples of tasks in the reporting direction:

  • Creating a dashboard for a new tool to track user acquisition, activity, and retention metrics;
  • Monitoring the dynamics of business metrics and analyzing anomalies;
  • Handling ad-hoc requests from colleagues in other teams.

Tools and technologies we use:

  • Google Cloud Platform (Google BigQuery as DWH, Compute Engine for servers);
  • Python, R, SQL;
  • Tableau for visualization;
  • Gitlab + Airflow for code versioning and CI/CD.
